The field app
A senior technician in your pocket
Enter the model and the symptom. The app walks you through the right tests, in the right order, to the part that needs replacing.
How a job works in the app
Identify
Scan or type the model number. Photograph the tech sheet and the app reads it for you.
Describe
Choose the symptom or enter the error code.
Safety check
Gas, 240 volt and sealed-system work get a short confirmation before testing starts.
Test
One check per screen with the expected reading. Each result re-ranks the suspect parts.
Conclude
The leading suspect, a confidence level and a verified part number for that exact model.
Close out
Record whether the repair fixed it. Every result makes the guidance sharper for everyone.
Built for capable people
The app assumes you know how to use a meter and take a panel off. It does not explain the basics; it gives you the model-specific knowledge an experienced technician carries in his head, and it keeps you moving in the right direction.
Part numbers are always checked against a real parts catalog for your model. Guidance that has not been confirmed in the field is clearly marked.
Where it draws the line
Sealed refrigerant systems
The app diagnoses them, but repair procedures require EPA Section 608 certification.
Gas lines and valves
Component swaps are guided, followed by a leak check. Line work follows local code.
Garage door springs
Opener and sensor repairs only. Spring work stays with specialists.
Where it stands
The app is in development. Dishwashers come first, followed by washers and dryers, ranges and ovens, refrigerators, and smaller appliances such as dehumidifiers, disposals and sump pumps. Early access members get the first chance to try it in the field.
